ARTIST VOICE
Despite the versatility of my art education, I have grown into a graphic artist over the years. I love creating an impression on the printing plate, the rustle of the graph paper and the clatter of the printing press. From drypoint to etching and aquatint, my tools are various: sharp needles, knives and other metal tools. Butterflies are born on the crab of a feather drawing on the wooden mokulito plates. My work is usually a multi-stage process that takes time (sometimes several weeks). However, there is no more beautiful moment in the working day than the birth of a work with the desired result from the printing press.
Just as inspiration touches the artist, the resulting work of art should also touch the viewer. The transformation from the universe into creation visible to the eye and from there on to be experienced again. Touch is what counts and an important reason for me to work as an artist. Therefore, I try to create only positive visuals to balance the harmony of our space.
