ARTIST VOICE

My visual perception has been influenced by the abandoned, stalker-like landscape I experienced in my childhood and later in the post-Soviet era. There is something mysterious, unclear, yet not gloomy about it. It is familiar, I can navigate it. Wasteland and the city, its ordered rhythms and spaces invisible at first glance. Pauses for breath. Places that have been passed through hundreds of times, from which fragments of information captured in the subconscious begin to form their own world in sediments. The occasional absurdity and shifts of life. This takes shape and manifests itself through my works.

Layered thinking and the wide range of techniques that graphic arts offers continue to inspire.
